RUNNING MAN

By Jon Erickson

The young man had run from God all of his life, so during his school years, he renamed himself Jonah. On his journey to get away from God’s call to surrender to Him, Jonah ended up in the house of a man who tried to force him to become a Muslim. Despite these hardships, Jonah came to Jesus in July. Soon after that, he gave the staff at Hope Medical Center in Guinea his fetishes, and we burned them! The man he found lodging with is not happy that Jonah goes to church, so Jonah needs to move.

I love to be here in Africa and see the Lord call people like Jonah to Himself, even though they tried to run from Him. Jonah knows almost nothing about the Bible, but he can read. Please pray that this young man will continue to grow spiritually and that he will learn God’s Word as he attends church faithfully.
